MAIZE & SOYA
CROP OUTGROWERS
Our largest and most established scheme. Crop outgrowers grow maize and soya across a 3,500-hectare network in the Nkoranza South Municipality, supplying the raw material for our feed mill
WHAT YOU GET AS A CROP OUTGROWER
1. Pre-financed Inputs
improved seeds, agricultural mechanization, and other inputs
2. Extension Services
ongoing agronomic support from our technical team
3. Training
good agricultural practices (GAP), bookkeeping, soil fertility, finance and credit management, ahead of each planting cycle
4. Fair Pricing
a 5% premium above market rates, negotiated annually through farmer cooperatives
5. Guaranteed Offtake
every eligible harvest is bought by PA Agro Farms
We’re also working toward producing our own improved seed, with support from agronomists and researchers based in Kenya — so outgrowers will eventually have access to the same seed stock we use on our nucleus farm.
Outgrower farmers are also among our target buyers for the compost we produce on-site from poultry litter and crop residue, available bagged, in bulk, or by the tonne for soil health on their own land.
BROILER
BIRD OUTGROWERS
Alongside our crop scheme, PA Agro Farms is developing a second outgrower stream: local farmers raising broiler birds on our behalf. The long-term goal is for outgrower farmers to supply 20% of the birds needed for full production.
WHAT'S PROVIDED TO BIRD OUTGROWERS
1. Feed
supplied to meet PA Agro Farms’ production standards
2. Vaccines and Medication
to protect flock
3. Veterinary Services
ongoing technical and health support
This scheme is earlier-stage than our crop outgrower network and will expand as our poultry farms and processing capacity scale up.
